Parents may check out library books under their child's name with the verbal consent of the student as communicated to the TL.
- All students may borrow up to 3 books at a time.
- Students who owe the library books are not allowed to check any more books until they return the overdue titles and pay for fines.
- Students must have a school I.D. card to check out books.
- Books circulate for two weeks with one renewal. Late books will be assessed a fine of ten (0.10) cents per school day.
- Students have a 3-day grade period to return overdue books.
- An overdue notice will be sent to the mentoring class or classroom of any student failing to return his or her materials on time. A letter and or phone call will be sent to the home of students who do not respond to the notices.
- Students must pay the purchase price for damaged or lost books.
2. Teachers
- All teachers may borrow up to ten books at a time and three AV aids at a time.
- Books circulate for two weeks with one renewal and audiovisual aids circulate for three days with one renewal.
- Teachers who have overdue library materials will be notified and are expected to return the materials upon notification.
- The policy is the same as that for students if materials are lost.
3. Parents
Parents may check out library books under their child's name with the verbal consent of the student as communicated to the TL.
